How to choose your stylist:

• Junior - a stylist newer to curly cutting/our salon who may need to take their time. Best for a basic cut.

​Managing Exceptions of What a Junior Stylist Can Offer!

Be realistic. 
Someone who is a junior stylist is priced for less because they are still learning. They have skills or they wouldn’t have been hired but they are not curly experts yet. They should be able to do a beautiful basic curly haircut…but DO NOT expect them to be EXPERTS. It takes time to be a curly experts or a “master level colorist”. 

The Junior stylist should have a Master stylist check their work…collaborate with your Junior on what you are hoping to achieve in this visit—and they should be asking a Master or Senior level stylist to consult in the beginning and towards the end of your service.

• Senior - stylist who is seasoned in the fundamentals of curly cutting and can do a more innovative shape.
• Master - if you have had struggles, tear or frustration with your curls this is who you should see. The most amount of education and experience in curls.

Color/Chemical Treatments:

• All color consultations are conducted via e-mail. Send photos and a description of what you are seeking to [email protected] 
• Any in-person consultations will be charged a $25 non-refundable fee. 
• When Booking ONLINE 100% Deposit is Required to Book.
• Any color charge that may exceed $400 will be specifically discussed and agreed to with the client prior to service.
• ​Reminder when booking color! All over color and Root touch ups are NOT Highlights! If you have never had highlights with us before, please book a color consultation first! If you are rebooking highlights, book as HIGHLIGHTS not All over color or Root touch ups! Thank you in advance!!
  
• Prices may vary upon consultation with your stylist based on density, length, & detail of work.  All color services and chemical services over an hour require a $100 non-refundable deposit.​​

Service Descriptions​

• Curly Cut - dry curly cutting technique utilizing DevaCurl’s trade mark curl by curl cutting, sculpting, shaping and removing weight cut. PLEASE ALLOW 1.5-2HRS FOR CUT- COULD BE MORE TIME DUE TO THICKNESS AND LENGTH. See FAQs section for details on how to style your curls for your visit.
• Rezo Cut - curly dry cutting technique that focuses on volume and face framing. Good for people who wear straight styles too.
• Straight Cuts - for clients who prefer to wear their hair straight and want a more traditional wet cut (don’t worry, we can be as creative as you want)! 
• Curly Kid Cuts - using DevaCurl dry cutting and other dry shaping methods to achieve a more manageable cut for curly kids CAN'T GET IN WITH US? TRY BOOKING WITH "STYLES 4 KIDZ" In Oak Park.​
• Blow Dry/Flat Iron - Blowing Curly hair straight and flat ironing it after a cut
• Blow Dry Add On - Blow drying curly hair after a cut for a smooth or sculpted finish
• Permanent Waves - for the straight haired client who wants to be curly
• Relaxer - permanent straighter for the curly client to relax tighter curls
• Deep Condition/Advanced Conditioning Treatment - nourishing treatment for dry/ damaged hair 
• Detox Treatment - focusing on rebalancing scalp and hair to remove excess oils, wax, butters or dirt that has built up over time
• Wash and Set - cleanse, condition and style in a naturally curly confection to bring out the best in your curls for any special occasion, event or just to treat yourself!
• Bounce Back Treatment - to reboot tired, curls that may be thirsty, weighed down or need to repair surface damage (nothing can fix years of damage but this process helps you reboot what your curls are lacking)
• New Client Package - consultation, direction, education, DevaCurl cut, a deep condition, cheat sheet of tips and tricks!
• Kids Package - consultation, direction, education, deep condition, curly cut, product to take home and a cheat sheet to help you on your curly kid journey
• Root Touch Up - cover gray or changing natural color to match an already existing all over color
• All Over Color - for an all over change of color or refresh of your natural color

• Bleach/Tone touch up - touch up and gloss for already lightened/bleached hair
• First Time Bleach and Tone (upon consult) - using chemical lightener/bleach to bring about the lightest level go blond on a client
• Creative Color (upon consult) -doing a creative color where a stylist and client have consulted on the new look they wish to achieve 
• Highlights - basic highlights/ on the more natural side of color. NOT extreme blonding or an extreme color change (that would be a creative color)
• Pintura - free hair painting 
• Balayage - Sweepy highlights that are hand painted over random sections of the hair to achieve a melty highlight (usually mid shaft to ends not applied on roots)
• Add On Gloss - semi permanent color ( good for gray blending or enhancing a highlight or existing color)

Special Treatments

Damaged Hair that Needs Loving!
We are here to help if you have hair that has been damaged due to relaxer, texturizer, keratin treatment, color, heat, extensions, braids, or neglect. We will do all that we can to help you transition into healthy hair. Please be patient and understand that it can take several visits and haircuts to reach your hair goals.

CONDITIONING TREATMENTS are intended as a luxury for hair that is either already healthy or has experienced minimal damage such as long exposure to the sun, winter dryness, etc. NOT to repair severely damaged hair.

• Deep Conditioning/Olaplex Add On - $35+ (must be added on to an existing service)
• Innersense Detox Treatment - $25-$45
• Deep Conditioning, Blowdry, Flat/Curling Iron Set - $115+
